Quality carbon structural steels
Brief introduction:
This standard specifies the classification and code, order content, size, shape and weight, technical requirements, experimental methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of high quality carbon structural steel bars.
This standard is applicable to hot rolled and forged carbon structural steel bars with nominal diameter or thickness greater than 250mm. After negotiation between the supplier and the demander, high quality carbon structural steel bars with nominal diameter or thickness greater than 250mm can also be supplied.
The grades and chemical compositions specified in this Standard are also applicable to steel ingots, steel embryos, other interfaces and their products.
This standard contains the most commonly used carbon structural steel No. 45. 45# steel is one of the most commonly used steel grades in China. There are bars (round steel, Hexagon bar, rectangular steel bar, etc.), plates and steel pipes with material 45# available in China. 45 # steel is widely used to process various machining parts, such as shafts, pins, high strength bolts, bearing seats, etc. Plates are also used for machining moulds with less important in China.

GB/T 700-2006 This standard specifies the grade, size, shape, weight and allowable deviation of carbon structural steel, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marks, packaging, marks and quality certificates.
This standard contains the most common structural steel Q235B, Q235B is the most widely used and is the largest consumption steel materials in China market and in the world as well. There are plates, profiles and round bars with Q235B materials available in China market. Q235B is widely used to make construction steel structures, equipment frames, equipment shells etc. welding structures and welding components, and also to make some less important machining parts as well in China.
Q235B is equivalent to Japan JIS G3101 SS400；American ASTM A36 Gr.36；Europe EN-10025 S235JR
