Product Sescription
Product Name:
High-Precision Chrome Plated GCr15 Piston
Rod – Hardened & Ground for Hydraulic Systems
Product Description:
This high-performance piston rod is
manufactured from premium GCr15 bearing steel, engineered for extreme
durability and precision in demanding hydraulic applications. The shaft
undergoes a multi-stage finishing process: first high-frequency induction hardening
to achieve a surface hardness of HRC 58–62, followed by precision grinding to
ensure dimensional accuracy and surface integrity, and finally hard chrome
plating for superior wear resistance and corrosion protection. With a diameter
of 92 mm and length of 2870 mm, this rod is ideal for heavy-duty hydraulic
cylinders, injection molding machines, and industrial automation equipment
requiring long service life and minimal maintenance.
Specifications:
- Material: GCr15 Bearing Steel (Equivalent to AISI 52100 / DIN
100Cr6)
- Dimensions (Diameter x Length): Ø92 mm x 2870 mm
- Surface Hardness: HRC 58–62 (After High-Frequency Quenching)
- Surface Treatment: Hard Chrome Plating (Thickness: 20–40 μm typical)
- Surface Finish: Ra ≤ 0.4 μm (After Precision Grinding & Plating)
- Machining Process: High-Frequency Induction Hardening → Precision
Grinding → Hard Chrome Plating
Key Features & Advantages:
- Exceptional Wear Resistance: The combination of high-frequency
hardening and hard chrome plating ensures the rod withstands continuous
friction and abrasive environments without premature failure.
- Superior Corrosion Protection: Hard chrome layer provides a dense,
non-porous barrier against moisture, chemicals, and oxidation, extending
service life in humid or corrosive conditions.
- Dimensional Stability & Precision: Precision grinding after
hardening guarantees tight tolerances and smooth surface finish, critical for
sealing performance and system efficiency.
- High Load-Bearing Capacity: GCr15 steel’s inherent strength and
toughness, combined with surface hardening, allow the rod to handle high
dynamic loads without deformation or fatigue.
